Meet Anika & Nathania

Anika Gunawan
Anika has dedicated her life to the path of water and embodiment. A heart-centred space holder, her practice was deepened through yoga, dance and aquatic bodywork — modalities that transformed not only her understanding of movement as therapy, but her entire way of living and loving life.
Her training spans Healing Dance Aquatic Therapy, Breathwork, Theta Healing, Oestheo-Thai, Body-Mind Centering, transpersonal counselling and Heart-Self Intelligence Meditation.
Anika is drawn to the interconnectedness of movement, sound and frequency as a portal for the expansion of human consciousness. This curiosity lives at the heart of every journey she curates — weaving water, sound and authentic movement into individual and collective experiences that move the living body from tension and isolation into deep connection and wholeness.
What captivates her most is the underwater world — its stillness, its resonance, its capacity to unlock what words cannot reach. It is where she feels most at home, and most alive.
An introvert and Projector by nature, she finds joy improvising on the dance floor, diving through Indonesia’s rich and biodiverse oceans, or among her furry companions at her jungle home on the outskirts of Ubud.
Nathania Lubis
Nathania’s relationship with the Soma began in her teenage years through yoga — but music, art and ancestry were woven deep in her blood. Vivid childhood memories of Minahasan family gatherings, where Kolintang ensembles and traditional dances intermingled with modern music and live karaoke, left a lasting impact.
Driven by devotion to the interdisciplinary arts and the pursuit of inner wisdom, she has followed her curiosity across the world — through solo pilgrimages, yogic and Ayurvedic studies and deep explorations of internal arts and movement including Tai Chi, dance and Contact Improvisation.
The sudden loss of a family member in 2019 became a pivotal turning point — deepening her commitment to the healing arts and catalysing the reclamation of her voice. She has since completed a diploma in Sound Therapy, and extended her studies to transpersonal counselling, Qi Gong and Heart-Self Intelligence Meditation and its applications in water-sound medicine.
Working with water and sound has shown this clearly: when sound, body and spirit converge, something real shifts.
In her spare time, you’ll find her in her cave making experimental music, studying and singing Sufi Qawwali, frolicking in wild nature, getting tumbled by the waves — or dancing in wild abandon.
