Meet the team!

Anika Gunawan

Anika is a heart-centred space holder who has dedicated her life to walk the path of water and embodiment.

Yoga, dance and aquatic bodywork has truly transformed not only her appreciation of movements as a form of therapy, but also her entire way of living and loving life.

She is trained in various healing modalities, including Theta Healing, Healing Dance Underwater Aquatic Therapy, Breathwork, Ostheo-Thai and Body-Mind Centering practice. She is a dedicated student of transpersonal approach in Psychology: @heartself_intelligence practice, under the mentorship of Dr Margret Rueffler.

She curates unique, multi-dimensional, individual and collective journeys where water, sound and authentic movement becomes a catalyst of expression, release and transformation - moving our living body from tension and isolation into a state of deep connection and wholeness.

Anika has a deep passion and curiosity exploring the underwater movement, sound and frequency as a portal of transformation and expansion of human consciousness.

As an introvert and Projector by nature, she is happiest when she is improvising on the dance floor - or underwater, and in the loving embrace of her furry friends at her jungle home in the outskirts of Ubud, Bali.

Nathania Lubis

Nathania’s foray into the Soma began during her teenage years, sparked by an introduction to yogic practices. But music, art and holistic living has been a big part of her life since she was very young, with childhood memories at Minahasan family gatherings where Kolintang ensembles & traditional dances intermingled with modern music + live karaoke, and herbal folk remedies were used in the everyday. The sudden loss of a family member in 2019 became a pivotal moment in Nathania’s life, deepening her commitment to the healing arts. It was the catalyst for her to reclaim her passion in music, owning and accepting the power of her voice.

Her deep devotion to interdisciplinary arts, movement, spirituality and connection to nature led her to extensive explorations of pilgrimage and study around the world. She has completed 200 hours of Yogic and Ayurvedic training in Kerala, India, as well as a diploma in Sound Therapy; and has delved into other internal arts and movement practices such as Tai Chi, Play-Fight & Contact Improvisation Dance.

She is a transpersonal counsellor and is currently furthering her studies in psychology @heartself_intelligence and its applications in water-sound medicine under the mentorship of Dr. Margret Rueffler.

Since completing her diploma in Sound Therapy, she has been finding ways to weave together a selection of modalities to create unique offerings through Muara WaterSounds and her individual sessions.

In her spare time you can find her making experimental music, practicing Qi Gong, singing & studying Sufi Qawwali, frolicking in wild nature, getting tumbled by the waves & dancing through life.

Why Muara?

Muara journeys are designed to be multilayered experience touching the aspects of mind, body and spirit.

~ Let yourself unfold amidst the waters, within the sound, through the body ~
